Amahuaca Counting Worksheet

Like most Panoan languages, Amahuaca does not have many number words (really only three.) It is possible to count to high numbers in Amahuaca, but only by using long compound words combining the words for "one," "two," and "hand" (múkun.) Today, most Amahuaca speakers use numerals borrowed from Spanish (such as cuátoro, which comes from Spanish cuatro.)
