"Tupe" is the name of an indigenous tribal community of Peru, speakers of the Jaqaru and Kawki languages. The name "Tupe," which comes from the name of a tribal town, is also sometimes used by linguists to refer to the Jaqaru and Kawki languages, which are closely related to each other and are often considered dialects of a single language.
