Q: Hello, Im trying to find out the meaning of the word
Owachee, could you help
A: Well, it depends on where you encountered this word
(there are hundreds of Native American languages, and
words sounding similar to this must exist in many of
them). But it's probably Owaci (pronounced
oh-wah-chee, sometimes spelled Owachi or Owači), which means "dance" in Lakota Sioux and
is very well known to white people now because of the
movie Dances With Wolves.
