This is a picture of Naoma Volentine Reed, nee Stevens or Stephens, a 19th-century Native American lady probably from the Cherokee tribe.
Her mother, whose given name was Naoma Euphemia (no known surname) was born in Tennessee and moved to Texas sometime before 1837,
which was a time that many Cherokees were moving from Texas to Arkansas and Tennessee.
