Northern Paiute Indian Language (Paviotso, Bannock)
Paiute--sometimes called Northern Paiute to distinguish it from Ute--is a
Uto-Aztecan language of the Western Plateau.
The language is spoken natively by more than 1000 Paiute Indians in Nevada, California, Oregon and Idaho and also by some Shoshone-Bannock
people in Idaho.
