"Wemotaci" is the name of one of the major Atikamekw communities in Quebec. The people of Wemotaci are called Wemotaci Iriniwok in Atikamekw. The name Wemotaci comes from the native name of a nearby mountain, which means "lookout point" in Atikamekw.
