Avoyel-Taensa

"Avoyel-Taensa" is name used to refer to two Natchez-speaking bands of Louisiana, the Avoyelles and the Taensas. The languages of these two tribes are barely known, but from historical records, it is believed by some that they may have spoken the same language, possibly a Natchez dialect or a language closely related to Natchez.
