Bugre
"Bugre" is one of the local names used to refer to the Guarani people of Brazil.
In the past this word was commonly used, and some Guarani people still do use it to refer to themselves today,
however due to a history of negative stereotypes about Native Americans in Brazil, the word "Bugre"
now unfortunately carries a lot of derogatory connotations such as being uncivilized or dirty.
Therefore most Guarani people in Brazil prefer the names Guarani (which means "warriors")
or Ava or Mbia (both of which mean "people.")
