Larilari (Larilaris)

"Larilari" was the name of one of the subgroups of the Aymara tribe of South America, located in what is now the Tapacari province of Bolivia. Although the name Larilari is of Aymara origin, it is no longer preferred by Aymara people of this region, because it came to be used as an ethnic slur against Indians by Spanish speakers in Bolivia. Today people of Larilari descent prefer to be called simply Aymaras or indigenos rather than Larilaris.
