Mentasta
"Mentasta" is the name of one of the subdialects of the Ahtna language,
an Alaskan Athabaskan language. The Mentasta dialect is an Upper Ahtna dialect.
Its name comes from the name of the Ahtna village where the speakers of this dialect live.
The placename Mentasta means "shallow lake" in Ahtna.
