About Indian heritage

Nataje Apache
"Nataje" is an alternate name for the Mescalero Apache tribe.
It comes from a Mescalero band name, Nit'ahe, which means "by the mountain's edge."
("Nataje" is a Spanish spelling of this name, and so the "j" is pronounced similar to an English "h.")
