Nortenyo (Nortenyos)
The term Nortenyo has been applied to several different indigenous tribes of Latin America and the American Southwest.
It simply means "northern" in Spanish, so it has been used to describe a number of tribes with a location prominently to the
north of others.
Tribes that have been referred to as Nortenyo include:
1) The Nortenyo Apaches
2) The tribes of North Texas, particularly the Wichita and Comanche bands
3) The Buglere tribe of northern Panama
