Pelones (Pelon Apaches)
"Pelones" was an alternate name for the Lipan Apache tribe.
This was a Spanish name for the tribe, and literally means "lacking hair"; Lipan Apache men in some communities
were in the habit of wearing asymmetrical haircuts with one long braid on their right side and their hair cut short on
the left, so perhaps this was what the Spanish were referring to.
