Sinitelitunne (Sinitelitunnes)
"Sinitelitunne" (also recorded as "Si ni-te-li tunne") is an alternate name for the Alsea tribe. This was their name in the language
of the neighboring Naltunne tribe, and it meant "flat heads" (because the Alsea people flattened their children's heads as babies by swaddling them
on a stiff flat board.)
