Southern Algonquin
"Southern Algonquin" is the name of one of the two dialects of the Algonquin language (the other is
known as "Northern Algonquin.") Southern Algonquin is spoken by the Nipissing and Kitigan Zibi First Nations.
Southern Algonquin is closely related to neighboring Ojibwe dialects, and some linguists consider Ojibwe
and Algonquin part of the same dialect chain for this reason.
