Here is our collection of Native American legends and traditional stories about weaving.

Legends About Weaving
The Old Woman in the Cave:
Sioux legend about a woman weaving a magical rug that portends the end of the world.
How the Spider Came To Be:
Lenape legend about a weaver who was turned into a spider. (We suspect that this is not actually a traditional Lenape story
at all, but actually a Lenape retelling of the Greek myth of Arachne. Nonetheless it is a nice story.)
