Crossing Into Canada
Q: Why did most of the Native American tribes cross
over to Canada?

A: We're not really sure what you're asking about--most Native
American tribes of Canada started out there. Only a
few Canadian tribes (like the Abenaki and the Mohawk)
originally lived in what's now the United States.
Those tribes retreated to Canada during wars with the
Americans. But most Canadian Indian tribes lived there
in the first place, and most US Indian tribes remain
in the United States today.
Hope that helps!
