The Name Kaeori
Q: hello, I am a member of the Waccamaw Siouan tribe of
eastern NC and I was
wondering if the name Kaeori (Kay-or-ee) was of
native American descent. I was
also wondering about the names Kehonie (Keh-oh-nee)
and Sahawhe ( Sa-ha-wee)?

A: No, "Kaeori" was invented for a science fiction
character from an alien race by the owner of this baby
name site,
http://web.archive.org/web/20040612005208/http://www.dischord.net/kaeori/listframe.htm. The author
states that she made this name up herself (though she probably was influenced by the Japanese
name Kaori.)
Never heard of either of the other names, but if you
knew which language they were supposed to have come
from, I could check them for you.
Have a good day!
