Indian dog name
"Atsiri" is the name of one of the important divisions of the Asheninka tribe.
Sometimes Atsiri is also used as a synonym for the
Gran Pajonal Asheninka language,
which is the language variety used by the Atsiri Asheninkas. The word atsiri simply
means "human being" in the Asheninka language, referring to non-Asheninkas as well as
Asheninkas, but became used as a tribal name in this region nonetheless.
