Coroada (Coroadas)
The confusing term Coroada has been applied to several different indigenous tribes of Brazil. It simply means "crowned" in Portuguese, so
it has been used to describe several tribes who have hairstyles that reminded colonists of crowns.
Tribes that have been referred to as Coroadas include:
1) The Bororo tribe (or Bororos Coroadas)
2) The Puri tribe (or Puris Coroadas)
3) The Kaingang tribe
