Coroado (Coroados)
The confusing term Coroado has been applied to several different indigenous tribes of Brazil. It simply means "crowned" in Portuguese, so
it has been used to describe several tribes who have hairstyles that reminded colonists of crowns.
Tribes that have been referred to as Coroados include:
1) The Bororo tribe (or Bororos Coroados)
2) The Puri tribe (or Puris Coroados)
3) The Kaingang tribe
