Manawan
"Manawan" is the name of one of the major Atikamekw communities in Quebec.
The people of Manawan are called Manawani or Manawani Iriniwok in Atikamekw.
The name Manawan comes from the native name of a nearby lake, which means "gathering eggs"
(referring to the practice of collecting eggs from the waterbirds that nest around the lake.)
