American Indian story

Welcome to our Candoshi vocabulary page! Candoshi is a Peruvian language that is not closely related to any other language, but some linguists have suggested it may be related to the Arawakan or Jivaroan languages. We have included twenty basic Candoshi words here, to compare with other American Indian languages. You can find more Candoshi words in our online picture glossaries. If you'd like to know a word that is not in these wordlists, you can take part in our Native American vocabulary words fundraiser or visit our main Candoshi language site for more free resources.
