Atilama: See Alabama

"Atilama" was the name of a Native American tribe of the southeast, mentioned in historical recordings of Creek migration legends. Most historians consider it to refer to the Alabama tribe. It may have been an older Creek name for the Alabamas, or it could have simply been a misspelling made by an early English writer.
