Guarayo (Guarayos)
There have been three different South American indigenous groups referred to as "Guarayo," each of whom speaks a different language:
1) The Guarayu, are
a Tupi-Guarani tribe of Bolivia.
2) The Guarayo, also known as the Chiriguano or
Ava-Guarani, are a branch of the Guarani nation who live in Paraguay.
Although they are related to the Guarayu people, the relationship is only distant and they cannot understand each other's languages--
similar to English and Spanish, some root words can be noticed which are the same between the two languages but the speakers cannot
communicate with each other.
3) The Huarayo, also known as the Ese Ejja, are a Tacanan tribe
of Bolivia and Peru. They are completely unrelated to the Guarayu or the Guarayo, their name is just pronounced similarly by the Spanish.
