Perene (Perené)
"Perene" is the name of one of the dialects of the Asheninka language. It is closely related to the
Pajonal and
Pichis
dialects and is often grouped together with them, although some linguists consider Perene Asheninka to be a distinct language.
Perene is the native name of one of the rivers in the Asheninka tribal area, and Perene Asheninka is the dialect spoken
by communities near this river.
