San Miguel Acatán
San Miguel Acatán is the name of the primary village of the Mayan people known as Acatec
(or Akateko). Their name derives from the name of this Guatemalan village. "San Miguel Acatán" is actually
a compound name combining the Spanish name "San Miguel" (Saint Michael) with the Nahuatl name
"Acatán," meaning "place of reeds."
