Legendary Native American Figures: Tonop

Name: Tonop
Tribal affiliation: Tunica
Type: Indian little people
Related figures in other tribes: Yehasuri (Catawba), Bohpoli (Choctaw), Pukwudgie (Wampanoag)

According to some accounts, Tonop is the name of a mythical dwarf of Tunica folklore. We should note that our Tunica volunteer has not heard of this being before, but many Tunica stories have been lost over the years. Tonop was reported to be half a human's height and also half as narrow, possibly also having only one eye.
