Like the other Guaicuruan languages, Abipon has very few number words (really only two.) It was possible to count in Abipon, but only by using long compound words. The native Abipon phrase which was recorded to mean "twenty," for example, is lanam rihegem cat gracherhaka anamichirihegem, which literally means "both hands and both feet finished."
