Andaqui Language (Andaki)
Language: Andaqui is an extinct language of South America, once spoken in Colombia.
Though the Andaqui language was believed in the past to be linked to the
Barbacoan
and/or Chibchan language
families, today it is thought to be a language isolate, not known to be related to any other living
language. (Two extinct languages, Panzaleo/Quito and Alauxi, may have been related, but
both are too little-attested to be sure of this.) Andaqui is a polysynthetic language and uses
SOV word order. The tribal name is also spelled Andaki or Andaquí.
