What's new on our site today!
Welcome to our Stoney vocabulary page! Stoney, also known as Nakoda or Nakota, is a Siouan language, related to other languages like Dakota and Winnebago. We have included twenty basic Stoney words here, to compare with related American Indian languages. If you need to know a Stoney word that is not currently on our page, you can take part in our Native American language translation fundraiser or visit our main Stoney Assiniboine site for more free resources.
