Welcome to our Chimariko vocabulary page! Chimariko is a California Indian language. It is not very closely related to any other living language, but some linguists group it as a Hokan language, distantly related to other languages like Pomo and Karok. We have included twenty basic Chimariko words here, to compare with related American Indian languages. If you would like to know a Chimariko word that is not currently on our page, you can take part in our American Indian translation fundraiser or visit our main Chimariko language site for more free resources.
