What's new on our site today!

Welcome to our Yokuts vocabulary page! Yokuts is an indigenous language of California. Some linguists consider it to belong to the Penutian language family, related to other languages like Nez Perce and Miwok. We have included twenty basic Yokuts words here, to compare with related American Indian languages. If you need to know a Yokuts word that is not currently on our page, you can take part in our Native American words fundraiser or visit our main Yokuts language site for more free resources.
